After the melting of recent snow and showers upon showers of rain that we have received this week, water is definitely flowing from the cave at Sand Springs.
Flowing water whether it is waterfalls, creeks, lakes, or ocean waves, is one of my favorite scenes to photograph so, of course, I couldn't resist.
There is just something so powerful about the water rushing by, unmindful of obstructions hindering its path, focused on its destination, and seemingly an unending flow.
Since I was by myself, I was a little more cautious and kind of wished I wasn't alone when several cars slowed down. I couldn't help but wonder if they were looking at this crazy photographer in high heels (yes, I was not prepared for adventure this evening but gotta capture the moments) scrambling down the bank to the waters' edge...OR was there something else going on around the bend. I never did find out but I did take these pictures in a bit of a hurry.
This picturesque spot is one whose beauty draws folks in all seasons. The green moss is ever present, the stately trees provide shelter and security. And there is just something about a creek, that seems to bring out the kid out in all of us.
Hope you enjoy them as much I enjoyed taking them!
